Dear Pre-K Families,
Can you believe it’s March already? Time flies when you’re having fun! This month the children have decided on a theme of underwater animals to explore and study through out the month. If anyone has access to underwater creatures, we would love for you to bring them in to share. This unit will coincide with the guideline for preschool learning experiences: Observe and describe how natural habitats provide for the basic needs of plants and animals with respect to shelter, food, water, air and light.
We would like to welcome Shannon and Nya to Pre-K from the preschool room. Welcome! We would like to wish Lindsay a very Happy 5th Birthday, and a Happy Birthday to Ms. Kayla!
Don’t forget to check out our blog! There are lots of great pictures as well as reminders, important updates and recipes! www.vnaprek2.blogspot.com
We will be creating an underwater aquarium under our loft. Please bring in something to contribute to our aquarium. This would be a great opportunity for you and your child to get creative! We are also asking the children to bring in one rock (about the size of a fist) to create a rock animal.
We will be going to the Heritage on March 17th at 10:15am to share songs and special surprises with our friends.
A few reminders:
*Please update children’s extra clothing bins! Many children are missing items from their bins!
*Please sign your child IN and OUT everyday.
*Check mailboxes on a daily basis.
*We ask that you do not let your children bring in toys from home. They have been distracting to the children.
As always if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to ask. If anyone would like to come in and share a special book, interest or story, we would love to have you!
Thank You,
Alicia & Kayla
